Clustered Servers
In order to provide the most robust and reliable processing system available, all
of eWAY servers are clustered. This allows us to switch from one
server to another in case of an error, providing a continued service to our merchants.
This results in a reduced chance of an outage, as there is always a backup server
ready to take the strain.
Clustered Databases
As with our servers, eWAY maintains multiple databases, each synchronized
to provide continuous data storage and retrieval for our online services.
Multiple Data Centres
While our main Data Centre is protected by the most stringent of measures, Murphy's
Law dictates that eWAY must backup our backup system. eWAY
employs a second Data Centre, located in a different city, to ensure the continuity
of our data and services.
DNS Recovery
One of the most common reasons for a website to be down is a DNS (Domain Name Services)
error. Figures show that DNS issues account for almost a third of all system downtime.
eWAY uses Verisign, the industry leader in DNS Assurance, as a
solutions partner to maintain and enhance our DNS integrity.
