Email Receipts

eWAY automatically sends an email receipt to both yourself and your customers, advising both parties of the details and the result of the payment.

Features

The email receipt is of a set format, as many existing merchants use the format in order to recognise a sale on their site. The email receipt is of the following format:

From: You@Yoursite.com.au
To: Customer@shopper.com.au

Subject: Receipt of APPROVED purchase/payment @ EWAY

is provided in order to give an idea as to how the email receipt will
look like. Merchants can customise this footer from within their
Business Centre.

Customise Your Email Receipts

Email Footer

In order to customise the email receipts for your own needs you can set the email footer for each email. This field can be up to 256 characters and can include any text that you wish to include. This could be:

  • Marketing material
  • Instructions for download or use
  • Friendly greeting or confirmation for customers
  • Links to associated websites/businesses

Turn Email Receipts On/Off

The Email Receipt service can be turned off for customers. If you want to send your own email simply turn this feature off from within your Business Centre. N.B. Email receipts cannot be turned off for merchants.
