Activate Direct Debit
In order to use the eWAY Direct Debit system you will need to have an eWAY account. New merchants can join here. Existing merchants who wish to apply for Direct Debit functionality can contact eWAY to activate the system on their account. Please note that applications are subject to approval by eWAY and that there is a 7-10 day processing period before the system is activated.

Steps to setting up a Direct Debit

Automated Direct Debit
Merchants can create, query and update their Direct Debit customers - all from their own website/solution. Through a Web Service, merchants can communicate directly with the eWAY Direct Debit System without logging into their account.

ErrorSeverity	If the customer was not added successfully, this field returns the error severity the system has detected.	100

ManagedCustomerID	If the customer was added successfully, this is the ID assigned to the customer and can be used to track and update their records in the Direct Debit system. If the customer was not added successfully then 0 will be returned.	16
