Auction Master

Using eWAY's Auction Master, you can allow ebay™ buyers to pay for auction items with their credit card through your eWAY account. There is no need to wait for cheques to clear or money to be transferred.

When the payment is made, the status of the item is automatically updated, so you know you have the money! Once setup at eWAY, all you need to do is update your items on ebay™ with the
Auction Master "Pay Now" button.

How Does It Work?

Step 1
Request that Auction Master be activated for your eWAY account. This is done through the eWAY Business Centre by clicking on "Auction Master" in the left-hand menu and then on "Activate" in the submenu. This brings up the Auction Master Activation page. You then need to click on the "Activate Auction Master" button. Auction master will then be enabled by eWAY staff in the next 24-48 hours.

Step 2
Once you are notified by eWAY that Auction Master has been activated, you need to generate a token from ebay™. This is ebay™'s way of giving eWAY some permissions on your ebay™ account, without giving us your ebay™ Username and Password. It allows eWAY to process payments on your behalf and to also mark items as paid.

To do this, login to your eWAY Business Centre, and click on "Auction Master" in the left hand menu. If your account has been enabled for Auction Master, a new submenu will be displayed. Click on the "Activate Token" link in this menu, and then click on the "Generate Auction Master Token" button at the bottom of the screen.

This will open a new window which with an ebay™ login page. Once you login, a Token will be generated and sent back to eWAY automatically and it will be inserted into our database. You can then close this new window.

Step 3
Add the eWAY "Pay Now" button to the item description of any goods you are selling through ebay™.

Step 4
Remove the ebay™ "Pay Now" button from all item listings.
