vTerminal Object

eWAY vTerminal is an ActiveX COM (DLL) object that allows you to connect securely to the eWAY payment gateway via XML. Knowledge of XML is NOT required, as the object builds and interrupts XML messages from the eWAY secure gateway.

Using the eWAY vTerminal object, enables you to connect to all banks supported by eWAY. We have provided code examples for ASP, Visual Basic and Visual C++ using the eWAY vTerminal. These solutions are provided FREE of charge by eWAY.

Implementation
To implement eWAY vTerminal into your back office you will require the services of an experienced programmer for ASP / Visual Basic / Visual C++. The type of integration you choose will depend on how your application was built.

Note: These components are installed as required by the installation program.
MSXML 4.0 Dependency
eWAY vTerminal installs and depends upon Microsoft® Windows® MSXML 4.0.
MSXML 4.0 is a new XML component that utilises the Microsoft® WinHTTP5 server-side component that provides an updated Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) stack for developing server-based applications for the Web.

WinHTTP5 Dependency
eWAY vTerminal installs MSXML 4.0 which depends upon Microsoft® Windows® HTTP Services (WinHTTP) 5.0.

WinHTTP 5.0 is a new server-side component that provides an updated Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) stack for developing server-based applications for the Web.

MSXML 4.0 utilises WinHTTP 5.0 for a server-side interface for handling HTTP requests. Previous versions of WinHTTP depended upon the WinInet component, which was not designed to provide adequate performance in server-side use. Many commercially produced components utilise WinInet and claim to be server supported components which is not the case. eWAY vTerminal has true server-side support that is provided by Microsoft®.
