How eWAY Helped Flexiflats Get Online Faster

FlexiFlats is an Australian brand which was started in late September 2009. From an idea born from witnessing countless women walk home heels-in-hand from a day out at the races. Flexiflats saw an opportunity to help Australian women get home in comfort and style by offering an affordable and practical solution to high-heel sore feet. FlexiFlats shoes come folded up in a small pouch which ingeniously converts into a shoulder bag for safely transporting home those precious high heels.

Challenge

As Flexiflats are committed to offering affordable footwear in Australia, they knew they needed to implement ways of dealing directly with consumers and reducing overheads associated with traditional wholesale channels. "Initially FlexiFlats jumped into online sales using another payment method...However, we quickly became frustrated with the previous methods inflexible system, high costs and poor customer service. We needed a more user-friendly, more robust, and above all, cheaper way of servicing our customers and managing our inventory."

How eWAY solved this problem

As Flexiflats needed to set up an Internet Merchant Account , eWAY initiated the set-up process with their bank’s merchant facility and minimised any legwork. As eWAY has a module for Magneto, Flexiflats preferred shopping cart, integration was made easy. "eWAY’s versatility allows us to easily expand the product range (currently available in black, silver and pink) and delivery options without time consuming and expensive upgrades to the shopping cart and payment gateway." Using eWAY has meant that Flexiflats are also able to give money to a good cause.
