eWAY responds to growing NZ demand with Auckland office opening

Following a public launch in April this year and the continued growth of the New Zealand eCommerce sector, eWAY has opened a permanent office in Auckland to cater to local merchants.

According to the Asia Pacific eCommerce payments provider, this move is “important in light of the boom in online retail locally.”

The recent BNZ Online Retail Report revealed total online retail spending in July was up 13 percent compared to July 2014, with online spending in several categories more than 20 percent higher than July last year.

As a result, two eWAY Business Success Managers will provide hands-on, local support to more than 1200 Kiwi eCommerce merchants, including the likes of the All Blacks, Debtor Daddy, TradeMe & Wise Advice, who use eWAY to process their online payments.

“eWAY’s Merchant Services has helped us simplify the way we process our MultiCurrency Billing,” says Matthew McFedries, CEO, Debtor Daddy.

“By connecting seamlessly with Chargify and providing us with graphical overviews of our daily transaction volumes, we’ve found it easier to expand our product to other countries and simplify the way we bill.

“We were able to quickly launch a new annual plan which has boosted revenue, and significantly decrease our transaction costs.”
