Frequently Asked Pricing Questions
Do you support multi-currency transactions?
Yes, Eway does have a multi-currency option. With an Eway account linked to your chosen currency and a Merchant account with NAB (for AU) or BNZ (for NZ), you can process transactions and have them settle in a foreign currency. If you are based in Singapore or Macau, multiple currencies can be requested through your Global Payments merchant account.
Do multi-currency Payments require more than one Eway account?
Yes, multi-currency transactions require a different Eway account to be set up for each currency. Each account is then linked to a corresponding currency terminal with the merchant bank, and this allows transactions to be processed and settled in their respective currency.
How long until I can start using my Eway account to accept payments?
This will be available as soon as you’ve completed the application process and have been approved for an account.
Can I get volume discounts?
Yes, depending on the size of your business you may qualify for a volume discount. Contact us today to find out about our enterprise prices.
Terms & Conditions
1. All prices are INCLUSIVE of GST.
2. The Merchant Trust Initiative includes cybersecurity, data protection and PCI DSS compliance tools and resources. Your business is already protected, you can also choose to opt-out.
3. After 50 transactions have been processed, you will be added to the Merchant Trust Initiative. You can choose to opt-out prior to joining the program or once every 12 months.
4. Setup speed is dependent on merchants providing Eway with all required compliance documentation & cannot be guaranteed.
5. Fees may be applied for changing details on activated accounts. Speak to the Eway team for full details.

How quickly will I receive my money?
Eway settles your funds directly into your nominated Australian bank account within 1-3 business days, subject to approval. We understand that healthy cash flow is the lifeblood of a small business, so we prioritise getting your money to you quickly.
Do I need a separate merchant account to use Eway?
No, you don’t. Our flagship ‘Online Payments’ solution is an all-in-one package that includes everything you need: the payment gateway to connect to your website and the merchant account to process the funds. We handle the relationships with the banks so you can get set up and start transacting faster. For businesses that already have a merchant account with their bank, we also offer a Payment Gateway option.
How does Eway’s Xero integration work?
Our integration with Xero is designed to save you significant administrative time. Firstly, you can add a ‘PayThis’ button to your Xero invoices, allowing your clients to pay you instantly with their credit card. Secondly, and most powerfully, our direct Xero Bank Feed automatically imports your daily Eway sales and settlement data into Xero and auto-reconciles the transactions. What security methods does Eway have to prevent fraud and chargebacks?
We take security extremely seriously and employ a multi-layered approach. We are certified to Level 1 PCI DSS, the highest global security standard for handling card data. In addition, we utilise tools like 3D Secure 2.0 for real-time cardholder authentication during checkout, which is a critical step in preventing fraudulent transactions. Our built-in fraud protection systems continuously monitor transactions to help you reduce risk and minimise costly chargebacks.
Can I use Eway for in-person payments at my physical shop?
Eway’s primary focus is on providing world-class online and digital payment solutions. We do not manufacture our own POS hardware terminals. However, Eway integrates with many leading third-party POS systems, which can allow you to unify your online and in-store sales data with a single payment provider. We recommend contacting our sales team to discuss your specific POS setup and how we can best support your omnichannel needs.
