How is Google Pay secure?

Google Pay with Eway is secure, easy to use and works with most Android devices including mobile phones, tablets, and wearables.

Google Pay was designed to provide flexibility and protection for all users: the cardholder, merchant, network, the merchant’s bank, and the card issuing bank.

No credit card details are stored on the customer’s device. So, as the merchant, you aren’t required to handle credit or debit card numbers in your systems when they pay with Google Pay for Eway.

For customers, Google Pay quickly and easily integrates with various services they already use, making it easy to set up and get started. Google Pay processes transactions using debit and credit cards previously added to Google Pay. Google Pay does all the hard work, and customers don’t even need to open the app.

After their purchase is complete, the details of the transaction will show on your customer’s device.

There are no additional fees for Google Pay transactions. Only the standard transaction fees apply.

Google Pay doesn’t automatically protect Visa transactions  from fraud chargebacks. For Mastercard transactions, a successful authentication via Google Pay will trigger liability shift from the merchant to Issuer. Activating 3D Secure 2.0 authentication will protect all your online transactions.

Google Pay supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and UCWeb UC Browser on both mobile and desktop.

Merchants can test Google Pay in their Sandbox account by enabling via MyEway under the Settings menu and then follow the Google Pay Integration Guide for testing.
